We use social media to create a product — to create a brand — and the product is us. We treat ourselves like little businesses, something to be managed and promoted.

step 303: be wary of the time you live in. I don’t like hearing, “I wish I was born in a different generation” because the time we were born into was well thought out and not random at all. still trying to grapple with this concept of “generation sell” as well as meeting people who have really distinct “internet personalities” from what they’re like in “real life.” no concrete advice for this step aside from staying conscious of my intentions whilst posting things on the internet.
