step 284: fail out of Barbie and Ken 101. reject the teaching of “barbie appeal.” been thinking a lot about education that doesn’t serve our best interests, especially that which is fed to us in our formative years. “they’re the reason twelve year olds think ‘skinny’ is a compliment” that line. hit hard. as important as it is to change my own habits, it’s just as important to instill it within the youth. i’m talking about all the twelve year olds I know that are losing sleep over their lack of “barbie/ken appeal” boys and girls you have YEARS ahead of you to lose sleep over AP tests, SATs, extra curriculars, uni apps, midterms, finals, and grad school apps. went through it all, but want to make the path a bit easier for those coming after me iA.
