step 265: mean it when you say it & say it often. this is beautiful…my new alarm tone. also need to add Brother Ali’s commentary on it bc I don’t know how to say it better: As Salaamu Alaiakum. That’s the greeting Muslims give around the world. It means “May the the truest peace be upon you.” If we understand it though, it also means “The Peace is an obligation upon you”. Matter of fact, this greeting and its effect upon the early Hip Hop generation is why in Hip Hop, lot of folks greet and depart with “Peace”.
